Rumsfeld Commission Future Space Study held Officially known as the "Commission to Assess United States National Security Space Management and Organization, the Rumsfeld Commission" was a critical study that examined the U.S. space strategy in the context of national security. Chaired by then-former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, the commission's findings raised concerns about the vulnerability of U.S. space assets and the need for enhanced military focus in space operations.
Key takeaways from the commission included:
Space as a Strategic Domain: The commission highlighted space as vital for national security, underscoring that the U.S. military's reliance on space-based technologies (such as satellites for communication, navigation, and surveillance) had grown, making these systems vulnerable to potential adversary attacks.
Space Pearl Harbor: One of the most famous warnings was about a potential "Space Pearl Harbor," referring to the risk of a sudden, catastrophic attack on U.S. space assets. The report stressed that adversaries could disable or destroy American satellites, crippling military capabilities and affecting the civilian economy.
Space Force Recommendation: The commission recommended the creation of a dedicated military force to manage and protect U.S. interests in space. This idea laid the groundwork for what eventually became the U.S. Space Force, formally established in 2019.
Organizational and Policy Changes: The report called for restructuring how space activities were managed within the Department of Defense, advocating for more cohesive leadership and coordination of space operations.
The Rumsfeld Commission served as a catalyst for the U.S. government's heightened attention to space security, which has influenced space policy and military organization ever since.

UFO visits the Ariel School in Zimbabwe Students of the Ariel School in Zimbabwe report witnessing a UFO. According to the accounts provided by the children, they were outside during a morning break when they witnessed a silver, saucer-shaped object hovering in the sky. Some of the children claimed to have seen beings or entities near the object. The beings were described as small, with big eyes, and wearing shiny suits. The children reported that these beings communicated with them telepathically, conveying messages about environmental concerns and the future of the planet. Several teachers and staff members also reported witnessing the strange object in the sky. UN Global Disarmament Talks Shuttered by Otherworldly invader debate On October 27 1959, while The UN General Assembly was discussing global disarmament, Portugal's delegate Dr Vasco Garin proclaimed that total disarmament raised many '’delicate questions". He warned that such a world would cut a very poor figure against an invasion from outer space. Dr. Garin stated that it was certainly farfetched to consider but "not absurd" to imagine a sudden invasion of earth by aggressive warriors from another celestial body. What matters most, is that this invasion from space was a topic under debate & consideration by the United Nations in 1959.
