POWER - Copper Wiring (Hard-Drawn)
Overview
Hard-Drawn Copper is a high-strength form of copper conductor produced through cold working (drawing) without subsequent heat treatment. This process increases the metalβs tensile strength and hardness while reducing its flexibility. Hard-drawn copper maintains excellent electrical conductivity but is more rigid and resistant to deformation compared to annealed copper. It is commonly used in applications where mechanical strength and structural integrity are critical, such as overhead power lines, grounding systems, and heavy-duty industrial wiring where minimal movement is expected.
